我是赛斯的一个自己，而他是我的一个自己。——珍
从1963年以来，我每周有两次替赛斯说话。每周一、三晚九点，我会坐在心爱的摇椅里，罗则坐在我对面的沙发上，拿着纸笔准备记录。灯光如常。起初我可能觉得非常没“灵”感，甚至烦躁，我也许觉得很累，或更想去跳舞。但9点钟课一开始，赛斯就“活了起来”。
我并不是“变成”了赛斯。反倒不如说，我仿佛沐浴在他的光明之中。有时候，我隐约觉知我的面部肌肉被重新安排，那反映出赛斯的情绪，而不是我的。对我来说，那房间消失了。虽然我睁大双眼，但从这眼睛看出去并对罗微笑的却是赛斯。赛斯经我之口说话，由一个不受三维世界局限的视角来讨论实相及存在的本质。

I ask you: "What is your name, each of you?" My name is nameless. I have no name. I give you the name of Seth because it is a name and you want names. You give yourselves names … because you believe they are important.
Your existence is nameless. It is not voiceless, but it is nameless. The names you take are structures upon which you hang your images … What you are cannot be uttered, and no letter or alphabet can contain it. Yet, now you need words and letters, and names and objects. You want magic that will tell you what you are.
You believe that you cannot speak to me unless I have a name, so I am Seth …I told Ruburt from our earliest sessions that he could call me Seth. I never said, "My name is Seth," but ‘I call myself Seth’ — my emphasis, for I am nameless. I have had too many identities to cling to one name!

Who is Seth? I put this question to you. And what magic is worked here in class that you work and that we all work together? Now I will tell you this: On the one hand, I am someone you do not know, lost before the annals of time as you understand it, lost in the annals of the past and the future, as you understand them.
On the other hand, I am yourself... so through me do you view and meet the selves that you are; and so I rise, in your terms, from the power and antiquity and the glory of your own being, projected outward into the world of time from a universe in which time is meaningless.

I am not the Holy Ghost. I do not require or demand the vows of poverty, obedience, and certainly not chastity. I will at all times demand integrity, and perhaps when all is said and done that is my only requirement.
Your Ruburt was, indeed, Seth … I have promised to give you more material dealing with the psychic construction of the entity, and its relationship with its various physical personalities. In the beginning, I could not tell you in so many words that Ruburt is myself, because you would have leaped to the conclusion that I was Ruburt’s subconscious mind, and this is not so.
Ruburt is not myself now, in his present life. He is nevertheless an extension and materialization of the Seth that I was at one time. Nothing remains unchanging, entities and personalities least of all. You cannot stop them in time … I am Seth today. I keep my continuity but I change, and offshoots like currents explode into being. Ruburt was myself, Seth, many centuries ago, but he grew, evolved, and expanded in terms of a particular personal set of value fulfillments. He is now a personality that was one of the probable personalities into which Seth could grow. I represent another. I am another.

I am not such a philosopher that I can compare my own thoughts and works with those of the noted professionals of whom your correspondent writes.I think I am — if you will forgive me — in my own way more earthy than those other gentlemen.
I am — again in my way — more rambunctious and playful. The word "truth" is a heavy one, and the more times it is repeated the more distant and inaccessible it seems. I do not put labels on my own theories, and I explain — or I try to explain — my most "profound" statements by adding a dash of zest, a smidgen of humor, an egotistical touch of humility. I consider myself an exuberant psychological explorer, finding myself, at my own request, happily set adrift among universes, able to shout with a loud hearty voice from the hypothetical shore of one to another, news of what I have found and am still finding.

I speak with the inner vitality that is inherent within each of my readers, with the inner knowledge that also belongs to them.
I close by saying, as I have said before: You are given the gift of the gods; you create your reality according to your beliefs; yours is the creative energy that makes your world; there are no limitations to the self except those you believe in.
I am Seth. I speak my name joyfully, though names are not important. Then each of you speak your names with affirmation every morning.
You create your life through the inner power of your being,whose source is within you and yet beyond the selves that you know. Use those creative abilities with understanding abandon. Honor yourselves and move through the godliness of your being.
