A Seth Workbook:Create Your Own reality
A Seth Workbook:Create Your Own happiness
A Seth Workbook:Create Your Own Dreams
我写道:“A Seth Workbook。”

How Events Are Formed
The psyche, as a conglomeration of energy gestalts having a particular psychological identity, continually attracts to it other similarly inclined energy in order to explore meaning and know itself. Physical manifestation is one means of exploration: What we see “out there” is at every point in time an updated version of the contents of the psyche in materialized form, its psychological characteristics clothed in chemicals.
It’s as if part of us (the inner self) were on a continual journey into the psychological depths, sending back to another part of us (the ego) new ideas and mementos. Ranging far and deep into “the raw material of experience,” we know the power and vitality of All That Is, the universe of meaning from which all “reality” is created, looking back and forward in time at our individual selves, at civilizations, involving ourselves in what other consciousnesses know and do, understanding all probabilities and their implications. At no “point” in this journey do we lose our sense of individuality, of our own “indestructible validity,” but use it as “bait” to attract to us (and be attracted to) probable events (significances, raw experiences) appropriate to our identity.
Cellular consciousness takes a parallel journey, perceiving all probabilities in the nonphysical realm concerned with biochemical reactions and whatever is necessary for physical survival of the body under all possible circumstances (such as the effects of different beliefs). Seth calls these journeys we take the “predream” state.
Predream events are of course on an entirely different “wavelength” from space-time events. And so, as they “approach” space-time, they gradually shift wavelengths in the dream state, the data, from our perspective, becoming more specific than those on “higher” levels. During this process those many events that cannot be perceived on a lower level fall away.
At this point ego consciousness becomes involved. The inner self meets with the ego in the dream state, where portions of the consciousness of each overlap, enabling them to communicate more directly using elements of each consciousness. The probable events in the “mind” of the inner self are experienced in the “mind” of the ego. The events still have no physical shape—they are not “seen” or “heard.”
The present desires, intentions, and beliefs of the ego are chemically coded within the body according to “significance.” When in the dream state the ego and inner self focus on probable events that to some extent match these significances, chemical reactions are triggered in the dreaming body, which “runs through” these events so that, as they resonate within, the ego can get an idea of what it would be like to experience them in space-time. When we remember our dreams, it is these “distorted” events we remember. In most cases probable events get no further than this, as waking conflicts are worked out at this stage, leaving no need to actualize the events. We choose to actualize relatively few.
Certain events mesh totally with our expectations. We are highly attracted to their strong “felt significance.” Our intense focus causes the events to resonate more strongly, triggering more reactions in the body’s sensory apparatus, which processes the still largely psychological data into codes that will determine the nature of the events in space-time. (That is, a “probable event” might appear in space-time as a sound, an object, or a happening.) This is perhaps the most creative part of the process, with imagination playing a key role.
In several books, Seth mentions EE (electromagnetic energy) units, the “invisible breath of consciousness” that underlies matter. EE units give final shape to the events (now specifically coded within the body) so that they can break into space-time, where the ego will experience them with its senses as “out there” rather than “in here.” For EE units to be activated requires yet more emotional intensity. It is the strong feeling energy of consciousness that gives birth to any reality (as it did in the Beginning). By emotional intensity, Seth does not mean vehement conscious desire or strong will and effort on the part of the ego, but rather an accumulation of significances, creating a powerfully resonating field of feeling, until . . . the Big Bang. Which of course is happening every microsecond of our existence as we continually “realize our dreams.”
