The Lotus Sutra Chapter IV Willing Acceptance

He informed this great assembly, saying:

This is my son.

He left me and stayed away

For fifty years.

於此大眾，說是我子，捨我他行，經五十歲。

對他們宣布說：‘這位男子是我親生兒子。過去他離我而去長達五十年，

Twenty years have already passed

Since I saw my son return here.

Long ago I lost my son in a certain city

And, after wandering around in search of him,

I ended up staying here.

自見子來，已二十年。昔於某城，而失是子，周行求索，遂來至此。

自從我重新見到他以來，也已二十年了。當年在某城時，我丢失了這個兒子，後來我到處尋找，從而來到這裏。
